This picture has been on a sloth-like journey, being painted a little at a time over a lot of months! It started as a simpler, rougher image using a combination of Photoshop and TwistedBrush, for a parkablogs.com art contest with a sports theme.

As time went by I stayed happy with the idea but a couple of things about the artwork started to bother me, so I decided to improve some of it in Photoshop. I got a bit carried away... I don't think there's a single pixel of the original left! I enlarged it a lot so it'd be better for printing, then just kept adding detail where I thought it was needed. I could obviously have added more but I had to stop sometime!
